New Club kit 2011-2013

I know... I knowww... it's a quiet day in work :-)

I have to say having forked out on new kit recently I'm not in favour of a complete overhaul of the design. Having said that, if that's what the majority are going for - I agree that black is not great for visibility/safety and pink is not good on fat hairy irish blokes. As for the Orwell takes on professional classics like La Vie Claire or Cervelo - they look good, but I think Orwell has the history and pedigree to be proud of our own original design. My tuppence worth.

I have to ask; is it really necessary? If the answer is yes, then update is definitely the way to go, I think having to buy an entire new kit in the new season just to be recognisable as an Orwell rider is a bit much to ask.

Can Orwell join BikePure and add their logo to the new club kit??

Does anyone have a small or even xs mens or ladies jersey that is too small and want to sell on ??? I badly need another orwell jersey.

Just a quick update on the new design.
We're approaching some suppliers to provide us with a selection of designs.
We'll choose the best manufacturer based on price, quality design etc. and narrow the options down to 4 or so which we will present to the members shortly.

Eddie - Could we have an alternative colour for the ladies of the club?

To answer your question. Caroline, I know Bray have a rather fetching pink version of their kit, so there's no problem in principle having a different colour for our growing ladies group of members if enough of them want it.
Can we get a few comments from the girls on whether there is a preference for a different colour for them?

John, price is a big consideration when selecting the kit, and Assos is very much at the top end of the market and while not ruling it out, is probably well out of our budget.
Don't forget, the majority of our members either don't race at all or just do some Club League, so dimpled fabrics will probably not be a priority for most of them.

Any further suggestions and comments are very welcome.
