Club Weekend Away - Thanks Anne!

In Madeleine's in Tinahely. Great call, Anne. The toasted bagels are going down a storm. Going to be tough to leave here...

I'm sure I speak for all of us who were on the weekend away when I say a huge thank you to Anne for all of the work she put into making it happen, and making it run so well.

We had a huge crowd, lovely routes, great weather, good company, even a quiet drink or two. Probably the best Winter weekend away in my time in the club, certainly the biggest anyway, so thanks again Anne, you're a legend.

Brilliant weekend, thanks to Ann and her team, and musn't forget squadron leader Brian McArdle who made sure no one got left behind, and Navigator supreme Peter Gerrard, who only got us lost twice!

Epic trip. Fair play to Anne and everyone involved in organising the weekend. Special mention for El Prez Dave Tansey who so often goes above and beyond the call of duty...

Fantastic weekend indeed. Massive thanks to Anne for organising the hotel/bags/weather etc and to everybody else who contributed to a great weekend. Special thanks also to the family of bag transportators who managed fit 36 bags into the car. Impressive.

What a lovely bunch of people you all are.

Thanks for all the thanks everyone. It was a pleasure to organise and made all the easier by those who assisted, Stephen, Kathryn, Barry, Peter Charlotte, Dave T, Minty Balls (we still call him that right?) to name but a few, but I would also like to say a massive 'thank you' to all those who cycled there and back, stayed out until the small hours and drank excessively - you lot are the real heros of the weekend and the people who made it such a success.
And to echo John Latham's comment......the dude who owns/runs the coffee shop in Wicklow e-mailed me yesterday with the following: I hope they enjoyed the stop. They're a really nice bunch, which makes them much easier to please!! Hope the whole weekend went well and look forward to seeing you soon.


That being said there has been a deafening silence from Madeline's Cafe in Tinahealy.....

I have it on the very best authority that 'coureur quatorze' doesn't drink coffee!
