Massive thanks to Dave, Jen, Paul and all the marshals for a great night. Dave especially as he heads off to PBP tomorrow, hope it goes great!
Well done to everyone who clocked a time tonight, it was deceptively short, but a very tough climb. Paul Tansey sent me on a photo that I think sums up the night well!

Did anyone get a photo of me flat on my back about 2 feet past the start line? That I'd like to see.

Conclusive proof that Brian Mc was on the wrong side of the road and as such should be disqualified and banned from all future competitions for a period no less than 4 years.

Spreadsheet now updated.
Some notable results to pick out - Stephen Barry topping SS and beating nearly all of S, only 1.2" off the podium. Likewise Stephen Rowan in 6th overall, good enough for S points, though he's only SS.
Kevin Sammon, who hasn't actually taken part in the league beyond his marshalling duties, made his debút by topping Limit, and also pushing past all of SL. There'll be an upgrade there!
Further down, Niall Kieran and Stephen Heary are tied to the hundredth of a second for 5th in Limit, and so are both awarded 8 points.
Uisneach Sheridan was fastest youth rider, with Lorcan Cattle and Killian O'Brien on the other steps of the podium - well done lads!
This year we've included the Leisure times amongst the racers, and great to see some competitive times in there - Andrew Duignan would've scored points in SS, while Darragh Connolly wasn't far off the same. And Emily Brick beat Aideen Keenan to the title of fastest woman by less than half a second. Hopefully we'll see those faces and more on the start line in Pine Forest next year!

May the jury look at Exhibit A:
Although considering that was the only straight section he actually rode further by crossing.

In the league overall, gold has been set in stone for McArdle since last week, while the probability of Seán Murnane keeping silver is very high, given the gap back to older brother Conor and the traditional generous handicaps on the last night. Pat O'Brien is probably comfortable in 4th, as long as none of the 5th placed lads place next week.
The 3-way tie for 5th continues, with Dick and Jamie both having two 1sts to Valdis' one, that puts Valdis in 7th. Neither Dick nor Jamie have a 2nd, but Dick has two 3rds to Jamie's one. So we have an ordering of Dick, Jamie, Valdis for 5th, 6th, 7th at the moment, unless one of them can score even a point next week. Jamie needs to sign on to stay in the running, while the other two lads can not show up and still hold on to their positions.
EDIT: Jamie does in fact have a 2nd place, so he's ahead of Dick in the standings.
There's also a tie in 8th place - Stephen Barry and Mark Holland vying with 128pts and two wins apiece. Holland also has two 2nds, and so leading that particular competition. And Stephen Rowan has leapt into 10th with last night's performance, coupled with consistent placings throughout the year.

To make the medals official, we have men's:
G Fionn Sheridan
S Brian McArdle
B Bryan Geary
For the women
G Aideen Keenan
S Ciara Kinch
B Ann Horan
Emily Brick has the title of fastest woman on the night, but as she is not part of the club league, she is not eligible for championship events. This is stated clearly in the rules at www.orwellwheelers.org/orwell-league/rules
Hopefully Emily is very proud of her time and performance, and we'll see her taking the title next year - probably along with a few others!

If I can recall through the haze of pain, I was seeing stars at the time and wavering on the centre line. Maybe if I'd ridden straighter, I might've won... I'll leave it to the race jury to decide my fate, but I'm pretty sure all results are final!
