I'm marshalling for Brianne Mulvihill

I'm marshalling for Barry Mooney.

It's another Club Championships round next week, this time the 25 mile TT. This will be the same course as last year, starting in Batterstown and finishing at Black Bull. There's a map here on RidewithGPS . As always there will be the usual six placings for each ability group, but there is also the added incentive of medals for the first three, and one rider will earn the title of Club Champion to hold for the rest of the year.

Please note that there will be a Women's championship only if we get five female starters.

There is parking in Batterstown and Black Bull, but if you do drive out please park considerately wherever you park.
It's not a bad cycle from town - maybe folk could post here if they're heading out, have a group spin out with some experienced riders who know where they're going.

Advanced sign on is by way of this thread , and then show up at the start 5 minutes before your appointed time.

The usual TT rules apply - aero bikes and equipment are allowed, and no drafting. If you catch another rider (good for you!) check that there is no traffic coming up behind you before pulling out, and give them loads of room as you pass. Remember they may have no notion that you're steaming through until you have actually passed them. On the other hand, if you are caught, keep on going at your own pace, don't be tempted to try sit on to the rider who has passed you.

Please don't hassle the timekeepers for your time- there's no problem asking, but make sure to do it at a time when there aren't any riders coming in.

There aren't many spaces left in there, so don't miss your start slot, you probably won't get another one.

There are already 5 women on the start list so this will (for the first time ever!) be a championship race for the women. For those who are interested in such things, you only have to go back to 2007 to find a time that there weren't even 5 Orwell members in the 25 altogether, irrespective of gender.

I'm afraid that won't be possible Fintan. Dick is last man, once he's gone the 25 is finished. The 2 riders after him are youths who are too young to ride a 25 and will instead be doing a shorter local loop.

Dave, I won't be able to make the 25TT this evening at all. Sorry for the late registration and subsequent short notice. this means my 19.19 slot is now free.

If you get yourself out there before 7 I'll send you off in the first available slot.

Anyone else who is planning to enter on the day should show up as early as possible to get the place of one of the DNFs.

Fintan, get yourself out as early as you can and if there's still a spot available you can have it.
