Club WhatsApp

Hi all,

Some of you will recall we started investigating using WhatsApp for club communications last year and asked you to sign up with a business account. That didn't work out to be quite as useful as we thought, and in the end it didn't fit our needs.

Instead we are setting up a standard WhatsApp group for all members, with only admins (the committee) allowed to post. This will be opt-in, please click the link below to join the group.

We intend to use this group sparingly. It will be useful for notices that we want to circulate quickly (e.g. Sunday spin cancellations), but also the usual announcements of dates for events.

We recommend all members join the group to receive these communications and notices.

GDPR disclaimer
When you join this group, every member will be able to see your phone number. Depending on your WhatsApp privacy settings, they may also be able to see your profile photo, status, stories, etc.
We recommend you review your privacy settings in the app before joining: Settings > Account > Privacy

If you are not comfortable with sharing your phone number in this way, you do not have to join the group.
