Track Trip to Alkmaar!

Eddie Lynch is organising an Orwell track trip to Alkmaar in Holland which will be Friday April 1st-Sunday April 3rd. The trip is going on the last week of the Easter school holidays to accommodate any school-goers who are interested. If you are interested, could you reply to this thread - this is a great trip for banter and for experiencing the track. To secure the price, Eddie needs to know how many would like to come for booking the flight, so do reply to this thread.

The details are as follows;

Leaving Dublin early Friday morning and returning Sunday evening.

Coached Track sessions on Friday, Saturday and Sunday included.

2 nights half board in a local hotel.

Transfers to and from the airport.

Extras are lunch each day and local bus to and from the velodrome.
Track accreditation is NOT required as the coach is well used to inexperienced riders.
Bike hire is available. You're free to bring your own bike but that isn't covered in the price.

Total price is €380pp at the moment. The Club has kindly agreed to supplement each rider, but the amount hasn't been decided yet.

Would love to go but have a track race on the sunday that im required to race. Hopefully there might be another trip later in the year

It is indeed. I do recomened this trip though, especially for those looking to race on the track. The thrill of being on an indoor track alone is worth the trip.

Just a quick update on the trip to Alkmaar.
Committed numbers are too low to go ahead with the trip as it stands. If we can get 4 or 5 more by Friday, we can book it, otherwise, I'll hand it over to Neenan travel, who may or may not take it on depending on numbers from other clubs and availability of flights etc.
In the meantime, if you want to travel, please post here by Friday.

Hi Eddie, I'm now good to go. I'd also like to put my name down to reserve a spot for my bike as I know there's a max of 5 per flight.

Update on the trip;
I had a chat with Alan Neenan, and he's happy to go with the numbers to date. He'll open it up to the general track community and should easily fill the quota.
In the meantime, I know some of you want to reserve bike spots on the flight, so please get on to Alan at Neenan Travel 01-6079900 and secure your spot.
I'll have a chat with the committee next week to finalise everything.
All deposits/bookings etc. are being handled through Neenan Travel.

Update on trip:
The €100 deposit needs to be paid as soon as possible with the balance paid for Friday March 4th.
