Mid Week Spins? was created by David O'Brien
I know I have to work weekends for the foreseeable future, so am unable to make the Saturday or Sunday spins, and am wondering how many others would like a midweek spin to help motivate them?! Anything more than 60km solo becomes tedious, so if there's a few people in the same boat, maybe something could be arranged.

Hey Dave,
this is something the touring group have been planning to do over the coming weeks starting next Wed night hopefully. Keep an eye on the weekly emails from Denis for details.
thanks

Here you go Dave. Fresh off the presses :
With the extra daylight hour kicking in this weekend, we thought people might find it useful to have a midweek spin. So we've decided to go with a weekly Wed night spin starting next Wed the 31st and the planned route for that evening is:
www.mapmyride.com/route/ie/lambs%20cross/210126944816387483
Since it'll get dark at about 8pm, we've gone for short and sharp with a lot of hills. Once the evenings get longer we'll expand these runs and alternate between some flat work and hill work.
The plan will be to meet at Lambs Cross at 6:30 and start on time to make maximum use of the remaining daylight. The route is about 25km so we should be completed by 8pm. If we're running late we can cut down the spin for safety to ensure everyone gets home in one piece.
