Sprocket rocket

As many of you will already know the club has just completed our first run of the Sprocket rocket program which is aimed at getting children between the ages of 7 and 11 on the bike and teaching them the basic skills of cycling.

We have 4 qualified tutors: Aidan Hammond; Eddie Lynch; Gary McNulty and Orla Hendron, but we have had a number of schools wanting us to run a Sprocket rocket program for them. While it's a fantastic opportunity to give a huge number of kids a means of entry into cycling we simply won't be able to cater for them all at the moment.

So, the question, is there anyone else out there who would be able to spare the time and would have sufficient interest to help out? There are training courses running all the time, so if anyone wants to get trained up as a Sprocket rocket tutor we can arrange it for you no problem.

There will be a Sprocket Rocket training course in Greystones next week, on Thursday 25th and Friday 26th. If anyone is interested in taking part and getting started on the coaching ladder let me know.
