Sunday spin 14th of Feb. was created by Dave Mc
The step-up group will be going Northside this week to get a preview of the circuit for next weeks league race. Anyone who wants to check it out is welcome to come along- word of warning though; the pace will be fairly high. It'll be 90-95k distance at 30ish Km/h. The fast/medium spin will be going out northside as well, so we'll probably have two groups heading out from there. Departing from the Pope's cross at 09:30.
The beginner spin and regular medium spin will be going from the shop as usual.

Maybe we could rename them "raw" and "medium rare" respectively. The other medium group stays named "medium" and the fast group is of course "cooked".

'A point' and 'bien cuit', perhaps?

Good spin with the racing/step-up group today. I'd say most of the riders in there are very much ready for racing. 90k for me at 31.5Km/h.
Shame about the run of punctures in the middle when things had been going so well. I've got a feeling that if a certain individual punctures again this year they'll be abandoned without so much as a backward glance.
Very slippy conditions on the Summerhill road and in the Dunboyne/Clonee area; we had one crash (fortunately minor) on the run towards home. No injuries thankfully, and only dented pride to show for it.
I did hear of a much worse crash in almost the same spot shortly earlier however. A small group of track riders came down and incurred some damaged wheels and kit. Apparently it was a gentle right hand bend that caught them out ;-)
I've just realised that sounds suspiciously like a bad spin, but despite all of the above it was still one of the best group spins I've had in a good while. I can't wait to see how everybodies good form translates to the racing.

Hi Dave,
Was it ice or wet roads that was the problem?
