Looks like it's going to be properly icy again tomorrow, I think it'll be a day to avoid inland or hilly areas. Depending on how cold tonight gets I'm thinking about mountainbiking instead of the road. Anyone who's interested (and has a mountain bike) would be welcome to come along.

I'll update this later this evening when I see how the weather is shaping up.

There are some very slippy roads out there now, it could be quite dodgy in the morning. Spins are still on but my advice is go back to bed for an hour or two, see about getting out later in the day. There'll be no guided step-up group.

I'll be going mountainbiking from the shop at 9:30, back about 12:00, anyone who wants is welcome to come along.

Was down in Gorey for the weekend and roads where very bad . Ended up cutting road spins short . Seen a big club group out just after Kill Mac at around 10:30am , was half thinking of taking the bike off the roof and going after you all .Where the roads clear for the club spin ?

I'd say that was us. There were about 30 out from the shop, between the ones who know no fear and the ones who know no better.

They were ok for the most part. Some nasty ice on the side roads, a few spots that we had to tip-toe through, but it thawed quickly and got steadily better as the day went on. No spills and some enjoyable cycling.

They had to cut it short due to snow and ice on the second route that had been picked. It was the 80k from New Ross to Rosslare. As for the weather it was very cold but dry which wasn't too bad for cycling. There were 9 from the club took part which was a good turn out and the organisers thanked us for making the trip down.
