Glenn, when I looked into this a Scott bike representative recommended I contact Vinny Byrne 01-6261700 www.vinnybyrne.com. In the end I never went there so cannot vouch for quality. Another suggestion is to use nail varnish / lacquer. Hope this helps, Tom

Thanks Tom. I had a reply saying that as my frame was less than 5 years old it would void the warranty.
