Garmin Bluetooth

Hi all ,

My Garmin Edge 810 Bluetooth is doing my head in .
The icon constantly flashes . If it were working properly , it would be solid .
When I turn the phone bluetooth and try to pair with the Edge Garmin says " phone disconnected " and asks if I want to " forget " the phone .

Has anyone else had this problem and did you manage to fix it ?

It's not a cheap piece of kit and should work . Grrr .

First thing to check is the software version on both devices?

Use Garmin Express on a PC or Mac to check/update the firmware on the 810, then check you are running the latest /software/updates on your phone.

Now make sure you have the latest version of the Garmin Connect app installed on your phone. If the device is listed in Garmin connect then remove it, also if the device is listed on your phone as a known device (paired) under Bluetooth settings then delete it here also.

Reboot your phone and go through the setup process again. You might even want to fully reset your 810 before you do this (nuclear option). I use the Garmin Connect app to connect/pair my Garmin with the phone and not the standard Bluetooth settings.
