Hi Guys ..personally I am not happy with this and many others are not either. Your Cycling Federation has asked you to contact the Minister on this matter
Cycling advocates are annoyed and perplexed by attempts by the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport to reinterpret road traffic regulations so that cyclists are required to use cycle tracks where provided.
We call on all cyclists to email the Minister for Transport, Shane Ross T.D., asking him to put the record straight - This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. You might also append a photograph of your ‘favourite’ sub-optimal cycle track with your mail.
DO THIS NOW. You can also advise him that we are in his constituency and there are 657 of us.

Thanks for brining this to my attention Stephen - shocking idea.... never my mind the poor design and upkeep, I think it will actually increase the chances of serious accidents between cyclists and those pedestrians wondering into the cycle lanes.
