Marshals needed: Women's Crit League

Hi all,

The 2016 edition of the Orwell women's crit league got off to a great start last night, with over 30 women taking part .

There are six rounds, with the next three taking place in the enclosed environs of Corkagh Park.

On May 3rd, the fifth round is an open road race that takes place at Manor Kilbride near Blessington. This loop is the usual route: goo.gl/maps/yKto32TqLEx

For this round, about 20 marshals are needed to operate the race safely. You'll be required to stand and watch the race for about two hours, and warn traffic that a race is approaching.

There's also a TT the following week (May 10th) which will require a few extra hands, if you're away the night of the road race.

If any marshals can make it to Mooney's for 18.30, there'll be a briefing then. Lead cars welcome, as always!

Big thanks to all those who togged out this evening and helped the race go off without a hitch. There were three lead cars and marshals on every junction, so a very safe night's racing on a relatively balmy night.
