Where: Ballinteer Community School
When: Monday February 16th - 7.15 for a 7.30 start
What's it all about then?
Preparation for Sportives
Having put some miles in over the winter, most Leisure riders will take part in Sportives or Audaxes over the summer. (www.orwellwheelers.org/leisure-pages/549-leisure-events - if you are not sure what they are) .
Hosted by two of our most experienced Leisure Cyclists , Denis Gleeson and Billy Parker the session will give you hints and tips on how to prepare for the event, from many months in advance to the night before.
So if you don't want to be the guy who forgot his cycling shoes or the ladies who rode the wrong way down the Newry canal . this event is for you.
If you're planning on doing the Wicklow 100, Ride London or Marmotte for the first time this event is for you.
We have a full evening so do need to get started on time, hence the 7.15 for 7.30 request.
Intro to Leisure 2015
In the second half of the evening your Leisure committee (Helen Horan, Ann Horan, Diarmuid Donnelly, Niall O'Shea, Jean Wilson, Colm Featherstone, Eamonn Eaton , Dave Carroll and Garret Connolly aided by Jonny O'Reilly and Eileen Byrne ) will tell you about the various on and off bike activities , we will be running over the Spring and Summer.
There are a wide range of activities planned , from Bike Maintenance classes to training for the Wicklow 200 , not to mention the 2015 Leisure participation competition and we look forward to sharing them with you.

Afterwards, although not officially, we'll retire to the nearby Ballinteer House for further discussion.
