Xmas bun run was created by John Twomey
Hi all,
Just wanted to let people know that this years bun run will be taking place on the 20th of December at 9:30 am leaving from Joe Dalys
What is the bun run?
Simply put, it's an excuse to don lycra one last time before Xmas and have a very leisurely spin down to Enniskerry where we'll stop at the Kingfisher restaurant for a coffee or 2.
How fast is it?
We normally do a yellow pace so everyone should be easily able to take part.
Any other useful info?
Costumes are encouraged but try to keep the mankinis in the drawer until the weather improves. With the expected drop in temperature, I'm not peeling another cyclist off their saddle!
We are aiming to be back in Dundrum around 11:30.
Any questions, let me know.
Thanks
John

John a bit disappointed about the mankini ban - would it be ok to wear it under the lycra? if so count me in!

Colm, many thanks for giving a whole new meanig to the Xmas 'bun' run...
The pose in that poster is strikingly similar to the one you pulled at the summit of the Galibier in July. Looking forward to seeing your Xmas version on the Poggio on Saturday! Will I bring the GoPro?

Derek missed you today and was all dressed up for the gopro shoot in my Santa mankini as promised. I would like to thank Fergal for his encouraging words and Dave Fitz for buying it 3 sizes too small for me but most of all Steve Hayden for having the biggest laugh ever at me wearing it!!! Don't know whether the tears were laughter or sympathy !! Anyone got a Chapstick???
