Eddy - the mudguards made by 'Crud Products' are great. Fit in minutes. Bit fiddly though.

Howrya Eddy. I know what you mean about getting drowned in mud by the bike in front but I've always thought that 90% of mudguards only protect the bike and rider that they're fitted to. It's definitely the time of year for them and they're no great burden to carry on a winter bike but I reckon they'd need to go all the way to within a few millimetres of the ground to help the poor unfortunate directly behind.

Eddy, just spend longer at the front of the bunch. It's drier up there, or so I've heard.

How come its always the older guys that complain? Us young lads never seem to mind. I suppose they have to keep their pension books and name tags dry in case they forget who they are.

here lads, just thinking this classic issue of mudguards as the lads were filthy when I met them yesterday in the coffee shop, does the mudguard I have the race blade work for stopping people getting splashed??

On my Cube, I couldn't fit the CrudGuards, as the Frame and 25mm tyres were not allowing enough clearance. I've seen people zip tie them over the brake caliper, which I will try with the aid of a saw. So your mileage may vary.

I rode the Emerald sportive on Saturday and a guy from the Lucan club was moaning about the lack of mudguards especially the guy in front of him and then he realised it was Sean Kelly. he let it slide after that.
