Polar S-series speed sensor?

I'm looking for a Polar S-series wireless speed (not cadence) sensor. It looks like this:


Does anyone have an old one of these lying around? It's been discontinued by Polar in favour of the newer CS-series one, but the new one isn't compatible with my Polar watch.

Feck , i use that one myself and always presumed they where all compatible !!

It was only when I went to buy a replacement for a broken one that I found that the new CS series (the "stubby" looking one) isn't compatible with watches that used the old S series. I'm not going to shell out for a new watch & sensors just 'cos Polar want me to (and also I'm expecting to change to a different bike sensor & display system sometime in the not too distant future...).

I'll even take a broken or unknown condition S-series speed sensor on the chance that I might be able to salvage bits from it and my old one to make one working one.

Someone must have one lying in a drawer...
