McNulty gets the cream in Charleville

Charleville Two Day, Co. Cork, 19th-20th September

Gary McNulty's blistering end of season form continues to produce results as he scored third and sixth place finishes on the two road stages of the Charleville Two-Day last weekend. McNulty's explosive sprint finish earned him two more prizes and 22nd overall, one place behind clubmate John Dillon in the final overall standings of a race that was ultimately decided by the stage two time trial.

St Tiernan's Eamonn Peregrine rode as a guest on the Orwell team in Cork and he finished best of the squad in 11th place, having finished 12th in the 6.2km stage two test against the watch.

Odhran Connors was prominent all weekend and finished a solid 39th overall while Michelle Geoghegan shrugged off stiff legs from the previous week's successful foray to the Tour de l'Ardeche to finish in the top half of the field in 66th place.

Martin Caddow was 79th overall with another guest rider, Brian Hammond of the Usher Irish Road Club, 96th.
