Browne racks up more points in Batterstown

Barry Browne was top Orwell in fifth place in the group sprint from the Limit/Semi-Limit group that decided the fifth round of the Inter-Club League race at Batterstown on Thursday. Stephen Byrne (Usher Irish Road Club) took the honours as Browne finished as lead Limit rider in the fast paced 16 mile race that included one lap of the Green Sheds.
The result for Browne follows a third place finish in the Brittas DMS last week and indicates that the Orwell racing neophyte is clearly a bright prospect. The first two groups were combined and just held off the chasing Semi-Scratch riders who in turn held off the Scratch men.
