Orwell Wheelers riders were busy in three of the four events that made up the National Championships in Dunboyne last weekend with Michelle Geoghegan going agonisingly close to a medal in the women's event.

 Rachael Kaye Mellor took her first outright victory Stamullen last Saturday on a day when Orwell riders featured throughout the prize list in the Brendan Carroll Memorial races.

What a weekend we had in the National Youth Championships held by SERC in Arklow on July 11th and 12th. With prizes for the first eight in each category, there was a lot of competition.

Orwell Wheeler's Michelle Geoghegan recorded a top result in Sint-Niklaas/Puivelde, Belgium, when she was fifth over the line last weekend.

Ian O'Keefe and Ivan McAvinchey were Orwell's top points scorers in the Inter-Club League DMS races at Brittas on Thursday 23rd.

Fresh from sixth place in the Gorey 3-Day Stage Two Time Trial, Mark Dunne confirmed his love for the race against the watch with second overall in the third round of the Inter-Club League at Batterstown last Thursday.

Graham Thomas was best of the Orwell riders with a fine third place finish in last Sunday's busy Inter-Club League opener on the Dorey's Forge circuit in Meath.
