Orwell Wheelers is proud to be the host club for the 2017 Irish National Youth CycloCross Championships, on Sunday 19th Feb 2017.

A glorious summer of sunshine unfolded, making for an uninterrupted season of Monday Night Racing in Corkagh Park with running out of suncream the only concern for trackside parents....... Okay, that didn’t happen, but the racing was still pretty good. And in the end, we only lost one and a half nights to the dire weather.

There will be a Youth Training Day with Aidan Hammond on Saturday September 30th. It is open to Boys and Girls aged 11 to 16.

The next CX date has a full set of youth races if you know anybody who'd like to take part, or perhaps you'd like to drop in on the way back from your Sunday spin to support riders - both young and old! Full details follow...

Scott Orwell Wheeler Caoimhe May set off to Baku to compete in the European Youth Olympics this morning! Caoimhe is part of a 6 person Irish Team and will compete in the Time Trial on Tues 23rd and the Road Race on Thurs 25th of July. We wish Caoimhe and all her team mates the best of luck next week

Scott Orwell Wheelers are happy to announce the return of the Monday Night Youth Racing to Corkagh Park for the Summer of 2017. It will consist of two series, an Interclub League and a Weekly Prize Race series.

Our annual One Day Youth Stage races took place on Saturday 6 May 2023 in Corkagh Park. A fantastic day out for nearly 80 kids, and some fast and furious racing. The results are here...

14 Orwell Wheelers youths were in Bellewstown for Rás na nÓg, the start of the youth racing season. Super racing, great fun and some strong results for our super boys and girls. Here's Aideen's full race report.

Our team of youth riders report back from their exploits at the Rás na nÓg Stage Race.

Last weekend in Drogheda, while the seniors only faced one-day races, the youth of Orwell were fighting it out in the Rás na nÓg. Promoted by Drogheda Wheelers, it's a rare opportunity for the underage riders to experience a full-blown stage race. Orwell had a representative in each category in the shape of Seán Murnane, Uisneach Sheridan and Andrew Ryan, who was riding with the Leinster team.

One Venue – 3 stages – Races for all Youth Age Groups. Orwell Youth are hosting a unique one day event for youth racers on Saturday May 6th at Corkagh Park in Clondalkin, Dublin. Run over 3 stages including a TT and Scratch race there will be prizes in both Girls and Boys GC.

81 Riders from 25 Clubs descended on Corkagh Park for the 2017 running of the Scott Orwell Wheelers Youths One Day Stage Race.

A couple of great results from the younger ranks in the last few weeks - Conor Murnane earned the unplaced Junior prize in Clonard two weeks ago, followed by Ciarán Keogh's fantastic 4ths in two rounds of the U16 MTB Blitz. Yesterday both Andrew Ryan and Sean Murnane featured in their respective races in the Des Hanlon!

Three days of youth action on Ulster roads took place in the last weekend of July at the Foyle CC Ulster 3 Day International Youth Tour. What an emotional rollercoaster for our nine Orwell youth riders  (two riding in the Leinster blue) - from stage win thrills to back road spills, we saw it all!

The summer Underage Interclub League 2014 is happening soon! Beginning on the 21st July, the league will run all the way through August on Mondays and one Sunday, full details below!

Four of Orwell's youngest members were out last night to fight for victory in the opening round of the Underage Interclub League - Killian O’Brien, Alice O’Brien, Andrew Ryan and Uisneach Sheridan. Read on to see how they got on!

The 2014 Interclub Underage League wrapped up recently, with Orwell Youths still showing up for their first taste of racing. Late joiners included Alicia and Liam Coulcher, Evan and Luke Caddow, Max Latham, and Kevin Lahiff.
